FAQ

Can I edit layers or text in the PDF?

No. The flattened image is embedded, so the PDF shows it as a picture. To make the text searchable, run the OCR tool on the result.

I get a “no flattened preview image” error.

PSDs saved with “Maximize Compatibility” off don't contain a flattened image. In Photoshop, set Preferences > File Handling > Maximize PSD and PSB File Compatibility to “Always”, then save again.

Do CMYK or 16-bit PSDs work?

Yes. They're converted to 8-bit RGB for screen. If a print shop needs CMYK as-is, save as PDF from Photoshop instead.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser.
